How it works

Your map becomes a record of where you have been.

Filling Bird plots visited areas automatically while you move at walking speed. Driving past a place does not count, so progress comes from slowing down, taking another street, and seeing the town block by block.

Your visited record syncs to the server. Compare progress across countries, states or regions, cities, and districts on the leaderboard without losing the detail of the path that got you there.

Claimed hexes and visited places also unlock badges, turning each new block into progress toward another achievement.

Use Filling Bird as an everyday map for restaurants, parks, and other places worth remembering. Share selected waypoints with teammates while keeping the rest private.

Territory

Walk the edge. Claim the space within.

A territory is the area enclosed by claimed hexes. Complete a loop around a neighborhood and the space inside becomes territory, so you can explore widely without having to walk every last corner.

The larger the loop, the wider the territory. It turns an ordinary walk into a reason to cross the bridge, take the long road, or finally see what is beyond the next block.

Teammates can contribute different sides of the same loop. Four people walking north, east, south, and west can enclose one large shared territory, then compare progress on the leaderboard.
